Bangkok is chaotic, hot, intriguing and thrilling to the senses. It’s a popular stop on the way to Thailand’s pristine beaches, especially for bargain shopping and exotic dining. Having featured in so many movies, holidaying in New York is like traveling through your own film set. Except, you get to experience the sights and sounds of the bustling metropolis first-hand, and it’s likely you’ll never forget it. Apart from seeing favourites, such as the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and Central Park, getting lost in the city’s eclectic districts is the best way to indulge in ‘The City that Never Sleeps’.

Adventure travelers have long aspired to travel to Siem Reap, home of the mighty Angkor Wat. The vast complex of stone temples, the former seat of the Khmer Empire, enchants visitors with its haunting beauty. Siem Reap is a resort town, with French influences, a wealth of local arts and crafts and floating villages on the freshwater lake, Tonle Sap.

Add to that croissants for breakfast, magical hidden gardens and fascinating museums and it’s easy to see why the French capital always tops popular destination lists.

There was a time I had never heard of Siem Reap, Cambodia, even though it’s such a huge tourist area for obvious reasons. I have been to New York City…sort of. Only ever drove through it or flown over it though. They’re all on my “places to go” list! I had no idea Lisbon was so popular.

I have been to 50% of the places mentioned here and loved them all! I visited Lisbon last year and couldn’t stop eating the pastel de nata – I have been meaning to try and make them at home. I will also go back to Bangkok time and time again – I love the street food scene there. The next place on this list for me to visit is probably Sydney.

I’m so glad my hometown London made it on this list!! And my other favourite world city of New York City! Lots of the more long haul ones I am desperate to visit like Sydne and Siem Reap. South East Asia I can definitely see myself returning to but Oz is so far away!!

No matter how many times you’ve read about these beautiful cities, you just can not pass up an article about them. May be its the magical impression they’ve made in our mind; may be its those irresistible pics; I don’t know. I just cannot get over them.
