I am posting my favourite postcards from Brussels, the capital city of Belgium. This place is a center of European culture (being called by many “the European Village”) where you can explore the beautiful parks, trendy restaurants and bars while eating chocolate like crazy and craving some waffles (this is what I was doing all day long). Hope you like them.

Fabulous!!!!!
Thank you Teresa. I’m glad you liked them :)
I love the picture of you in the sweet shop, like a little kid in a sweet shop :-)
I’ve been to Brussels once and found it to be very expensive. I was inter-railing so jumped onto the train and went to Antwerp instead (which is gorgeous).
Whilst in Brussels I did get a corkscrew designed on the famous statue of the little boy in the city ;-)
Thanks a lot. I also like this photo. Being in this shop full of candies and my favourite chocolate I felt like a little kid. I was tasting different kinds of sweets like I used to do it when I was little and it felt great! Brussels was not that expensive for me. After Brussels I went to Oslo, so I wanted Oslo prices to be like Brussels prices :-(. Never been to Antwerp, but will surely go there one day. Lucky you! Wish I could get a corkscrew like that.
Agness, these pics were awesome! It reminds me a bit like Barcelona. Thanks for sharing. Hope you sent them out on Twitter and Facebook. Take care birthday girl.
Hey Debbie. Thanks a lot. I loved Brussels! So picturesque. Never been to Barcelona though, visited Malaga only during mu studies. Of course I will send them out on Twitter and Facebook. Thanks a lot sweetie.
How do you get your footprint on your pictures? I’d like to do something like that with mine.
Thanks
I am using uMark 3 software to watermark all my photos. Here’s the link —> https://www.uconomix.com/Products/uMark/Default.aspx It’s free for the first 15 days and then you need to pay $30 if you like it and still want to use it. That’s my favourite software, but please check others on the Internet, they might be free.
Great photos Agness. I have not been to Brussels in a long while. All I can remember that it was raining. I hope for better luck next time.
You were unlucky. The weather was good when I visited Brussels – not to cold, but raining a little. Thanks, I’m so glad you liked them. Wishing you good luck with your next trip to Brussels :-).
Great shots! Thanks for bringing back the memories from my trip a little over a year ago.
My pleasure, hope these memories were good ones ;-)
Lovely photos! I visited Brussels two years and I was blown away by how lovely the city was. So beautiful and the people were very friendly!

Hey Aryn! Thanks a lot, that is so true – Brussels does blow away by its loveliness and charm and people are extremely friendly.
Beautiful photos! And such a varied collection of shots – I love it! I’m happy that you mixed food photos in with the scenery, since those are the two things that pretty much make or break a city for me ;).
Thanks Jess. I love mixing food photos with photos of people and scenery ;-) So glad you like them ;-)
You’re pictures look amazing! I live in Belgium (Antwerp) and I must say you captured the Belgian specialties perfectly! Brussels is a fun city but I recommend you to come to Antwerp. You will love it for sure, it’s smaller but the charm in that city is ten times bigger! Keep traveling, proud to have you in Belgium :)
I’ve heard of Antwerp from one of the bloggers and he said the same thing. I really regret not going there, only if I could turn back time… :-( Maybe next time. I’m so happy you liked it! I’m proud of these postcards!
Lovely pictures! Glad to read you had a great time in Brussels!
Thanks Miret, I did have a wonderful time there, but unfortunately I didn’t manage to get to Switzerland, maybe next time :) so we can have some nice coffee and fancy lunch together ;-)
I’ve always loved your Postcards posts. These are such beautiful photos and really highlight Brussels. We were only there for a day and judging from this, we missed out on a lot of great architecture. Where’s the Mannekin Pis shot? :) We really enjoyed our visit there and how can you not with all those chocolate samples? We hope to visit again soon.
Thanks Mary! I will post more photos of the Mannekin Pis later on in my next Brussels notes :):) I have a few good shots of this little funny kid :P I was craving a lot of chocolate in Brussels, could resist the temptation!
I’ve been to Belgium but not to Brussels – looks like a fantastic place to explore from your photos!
It is indeed a great place to explore, worth going there.
Awesome picks! I so want to visit Brussels & Ghent & Antwerp. Hopefully, I’ll have some travel time left in 2013 for going on a Belgium trip :-)
Cheers! Fingers crossed, Brussels is worth going there :)
Lovely atmospheric shots, a big attraction of Belgium is the food and you’ve definitely captured this!
Thanks a lot Becky. It’s because I am a big food lover :)
This photo post reminds me of my own trip to Belgium a few years ago! I was there around New Year’s and it was FREEZING. I spent most of my time in art museums and bars trying to avoid the cold. Good thing Belgium has a great beer and chocolate scene, it helped keep me warm!
So true, nothing can warm you up better than a glass of Belgian hot chocolate :)
I work in Brussels and I recognize a lot of those places! Always funny to see a city where you spend a lot of time through the eyes of a traveller :-)
Awesome!!
