The country has a vibrant art and music scene, but there is little to see by way of historical interest. Historical remains that still exist are in a poor state of repair. Nigeria has the biggest economy in Africa and is a major oil producer, but many live in abject poverty. Nonetheless, the people are known for their friendliness and welcoming good humour.
