About Koh Phangan
Koh Phangan is an island in the Gulf of Thailand located in South-East part of the country in Surat Thani Province. It can be easily reached from Bangkok within 14-16 hours by bus and the boat (650 Baht per person= $22) or by train and the boat (between 850 and 1000 Baht). The island is mostly famous for its Full Moon parties at Haad Rin Beach, amazing seafood and diving/snorkelling activities.  We explored the whole island by scooters going from one beach to another. The scenery is just breath-taking!  Here are the photos we took while being there for 4 days.

Wow, what an amazing adventure! It really looks like paradise.
Thanks Ashley! It is indeed. It’s not as crowdy as the rest of Thai islands and the food is amazing! :)
Those beaches do look wonderful and so does that orange juice. I have a real craving for a glass now!
We were drinking fresh juices and shakes all day long :) Sending lots of love to you Kate with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice :)
Hi Agness, lovely postcards! What a beautiful island. Looks raw and idyllic. I love your food shots. They made me hungry. I particularly love the fred egg photo. It is pretty unique.
Thank you Marisol. It is indeed a beautiful island, nice place to take some time off. The fried egg with sweet chilli sauce was amazing :)
Beautiful pics as always! It’s getting cold here in Seoul, and today it’s very rainy…I wish I could transport there now! :p Btw what camera do you guys use?
We’re going now to colder places too, so yes, we’ll miss the hot Thai weather. We use Canon 550D (me) and Sony NEX-3 (Agness). Happy travels!
Lovely photos! A lot of people told us that Koh Phangan had been totally ruined by the Full Moon parties and tourists, but we went a few months ago and it was absolutely stunning! We also rented a scooter, and just spent a few days exploring the island – it truly was paradise.
That’s right, the scenery cannot be changed by the parties. Although they certainly have an influence (I think a negative one) on the local community. We also rented a scooter, but I crashed it :) We’ll write more about it soon
So much prettiness!
Thanks Priya. It’s a lovely place! One of my favourite ones in Thailand!
This brings back so many memories! I loved the alcohol in buckets – so classy!
And also very affordable :-)
