When I visited Amsterdam for the second time, I was able to explore its canals again, walk through the bridges, see locals riding their bikes and experience its modernity with a solid historical background. Here are some photos I have taken when strolling down the streets of the “Venice of the North”. They all bring back such great memories I will cherish forever!

Beautiful collection of photos, Agness! We visited Amsterdam in November when it was cold, rainy and a hint of snow. What a difference sunshine and colorful flowers make. We’d love to return during the summer. Love the canal shots.
That’s true Mary. Amsterdam in winter and Amsterdam in summer are just two completely different places. It was cold and rainy as well last time when I visited it, but this summer… just look how beautiful canals and streets look like. It was shiny and so nice :) Thank you!

Gorgeous pics representing the city and its culture. I absolutely love the pic of the tulips! The colors are so bright and bold! And the pics of the canal are beautiful!!

Lovely photos. Amsterdam gets a lot of stick, but I really like it. I just love the whole ‘I don’t give a damn what foreigners think’ vibe. People from Amsterdam have always done their own thing, however controversial it may seem to outsiders. I like that!

I’ve only been to Amsterdam in winter and spent most of my time then in museums. I’d love to return and get a taste of what you’ve shown readers via your lovely photos. Biking, canals, barges, flowers – it just looks lovely in summer.
You should definitely make it there in summer. It’s a completely different city. Looks amazing surrounded by bikes, flowers, canals and bridges. Everything looks so bright when the sun shines.

The tuk-tuks in Europe always amaze me as they are SO EXPENSIVE. Even in the US, in San Diego, I remember seeing some tuk-tuk with a board reading “minimum ride $10 – PER PERSON”.

I know! It’s so crazy. In Siem Reap we paid around $5 to get to the airport from our hostel which is about 45 minute ride :)
