If you are in Bali looking for a nice place to stop by to interact with locals and get to know local life, Jimbarah Fish Market would be a perfect place for that. It’s a lively and frenetic fish market, always busy with locals and filled with fresh food.
Brightly painted boats are the main attractions, but don’t forget to try everything from small sardines to fearsome langoustines!

Jimbaran fish market is located in Jimbaran Beach and it’s open from 6am to 3pm each day.
Would you visit the place yourself?

i loved pics from fish markets. They are always very photogenic, but this way, I escape the smell!
True! :)
I would love to visit that fish market!
Add it to your bucket list then! :)
So colorful and that fish is bigger than you are! Does it really help to wear your backpack in front of you like that? I know you said in your tips somewhere that it is. Is it still?
It does help a lot, indeed. I never got robbed nor lost anything. Seems to be working, indeed.
Intersting shots – so much activity!! It looks a bit like the marina Beach fish markets in Chennai. I missed this while I was in Bali – will have to go next time!
Thanks a lot, Tim! :)
Great market! I’m always impressed by what we can find there! :)
I know!! :)
In Bali in 2 days’ time.
Nice, enjoy it!
Never knew Bali had a fish market … I guess I know where I’m visiting next time I’m there!
It does have and it’s not small :).
Bali is my travel list for 2016 :)
Great to hear that! :)
