Is My School on Fire!?

thumb blog1

Today, my school was surrounded by fire, literally. It looked pretty scary but it was only an early spring routine of getting rid of last year’s crop of decorative grasses so the plants have some place to grow this year. It’s much easier to burn the grass than cut it back. My school is surrounded by mountains and forests so the view of the flames, rising up every minute, from each side was something unusual here, especially for me. It all happened last night at 6 pm and when I woke up this morning there was no sign of it. The school is very close to the forest (1kilometre) and surprisingly there were no fire trucks around in case the fire gets out of control of locals.

At the moment, I’m pretty busy negotiating the price and conditions of my next trip to Tibet with some travel agencies. We are having three days off at school due to bank holiday so I’m getting some rest before we start preparing for the final exam in June. The weather’s wonderful now, it’s about 25-28+ degrees every single day :))))))))))

I joined Twitter yesterday so you can follow me at @agnesstramp. It’s a great way of staying in touch with people whose passion is backpacking/ traveling/ hunting adventures, etc. and getting the latest info on travel.

Will keep you posted. Now I need to get back to work.

Best wishes,

A.
