The only thing I do alter is cut back the piping a little, but that's a personal thing as I like it slightly shorter than the length it comes in....
Definitely worth it if you are in the market for a replacement 2L bladder.
First, for anyone wondering, the quick disconnect is perfectly compatible with the Osprey quick connectors.
Second, I really like the top fill design much better than the traditional fill design with the large screw cap on the front (like camelbak). It is much easier to fill, especially while the bladder is still in the backpack.
Third, the shape is much better than traditional bladders; it is rectangular instead of trapezoidal and is easier to fit into a larger variety of bladder compartments.
Fourth, I really like the quick disconnect. I can disconnect the hose without the bladder leaking. This is especially useful as it allows removing the bladder from a backpack while leaving the hose in place on the backpack (no fishing it out and back in again!).
Fifth, I absolutely love that I can turn it inside out and it's top-rack dishwasher safe! This makes it so much easier to clean.
The material seems rugged, but not as stiff as traditional bladders, so I'll have to see just how durable it is. But I don't expect any issues since it is always used inside backpacks with dedicated bladder holders where it is well protected.
The low-profile feature was a little difficult to engage at first; it is similar to a zip-loc connection. However, after applying a small amount of the included food-grade silicon lubricant, it was much easier to manipulate.
The place where the hose attached to the bag would not seat properly. Water would slowly leak out at the attachment point. When I received this bladder, I read that the connection port should be lubricated on occasion.

I had no idea.

I look the lube provided by this bladder and lubed the bladder I thought was worn out. The old bladder works just like new. I am super happy I bought this because I think it just saved me a lot of money and maybe my mistake might help someone else.
Anyway, I like the design of this one better. The bite valve and the top bag closure are the best I have come across. The bladder itself seems to be quality and I love that it holds 3 liters.
I trail run and the top slide of my other bladder has almost slipped off sideways while wearing the vest it came with. If it had, all of my water would have spilled out and I would have been in trouble. It was the middle of summer and I was 10 very difficult miles from the next water source. I tell you that story because it was kinda scary and to point out that I have never had that issue with this bladder.
I’m very pleased.
Only thing I don't like about it is the bite valve doesn't have a cover, so if you set your pack down somewhere it attracts 100% the dust and little bits of leaf debris from about a 6 mile radius around it.
One thing I very much DO like about it is the bite valve has a shut off so it doesn't leak if something other than your mouth presses against it. I also like the way the valve is designed. It's round instead of a straight slit, so you get more than just a little pee stream out of it and the pressure from your gear against the bladder means you barely have to suck at all, just bite it and it pretty much sprays into your mouth, at least when there's a lot of liquid in it.
Easy to fill, PITA to clean, etc. etc.... Just buy it.
