When visiting Fatima with my mom this summer, I stayed at one of the most charming and friendliest hotels in the town – Ribeiro Hotel, which I would highly recommend to anyone who is planning on visiting the Sanctuary of Fatima.

ToggleRoom Booking
Let me start from saying that the whole process of booking my room went perfectly smooth and Teresa Ribeiro – a manager of the hotel, who I had a pleasure to keep in touch via e-mails, immediately replied to my messages. My room booking has been confirmed in no time and I must admit that I was very impressed by Teresa’s customer care and service.
I found Ribeiro Hotel through TripAdvisor. It was recommended by Fatima’s visitors and highly ranked as one of the friendliest and affordable hotels in the town with a great location and comfortable rooms for any kind of traveler. That could not be further from the truth!
Ribeiro Hotel allows its customers to check the availability of rooms, their look, prices as well as location and included amenities such as free Wi-Fi, free pick up, breakfast buffet or tours and local activities.
The room
Me and my mom stayed at Ribero Hotel for two nights. The room was pretty large and each bed had sufficient personal space and there were more than enough plugs for each bed. Our room was very clean, and was cleaned daily. The Wi-Fi was good and I could pick it up in the rooms. The connection was fine and I had no problems making international video calls.
Featuring a flat-screen satellite TV the heated rooms of the hotel all come with a wardrobe and a desk. Also featured is a private bathroom with free toiletries. A hairdryer is available, upon request.
I also enjoyed a charming view from our balcony. I could wake up early in the morning to admire charming Portuguese flowers!
The atmosphere
The Ribeiro Hotel was extremely quiet and peaceful. We barely could see anyone walk or eat there, which was a huge advantage of our stay. Nobody never disturbed us and we felt very relaxed and laid back. There was a young girl working at the reception – the owner’s daughter – very kind and quiet girl, helpful and well-behaved.
Breakfast time
Breakfast is served up on the terrace each morning, and it’s a great place to hang out and have a drink in the evening. The whole place is lit up lovely at night, and there was a real nice ambiance about the place.
In the mornings, guests of the hotels can have a buffet breakfast prepared with regional ingredients – ham, cheese, bread, baguettes, sweet buns, various jams, cereal, cold and hot drinks – from simple tea to hot chocolate.
There is also an à la carte restaurant serving regional and international cuisine. Drinks can be enjoyed on the sun terrace.
Breakfast is included in the room rate and served each morning at the Hotel. The hotel’s in-house à la carte restaurant serves traditional Portuguese meals.

Location
I absolutely loved Ribeiro Hotel’s location as it is situated a 10-minute walk from the Sanctuary of Fatima. The centre of Fátima is a 3-minute drive from the unit so we could walk there each morning and save money on local transportation. We could easily get to any sightseeing point on foot and Portela International Airport is a 65-minute drive from Ribeiro Hotel.

Me and my mom had a very pleasant stay at Ribeiro Hotel. We loved our room which was extremely comfy and cozy, delicious breakfast and helpful staff members. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is planning on visiting Fatima in the near future. The prices are reasonable so everyone (including budget travelers) can afford it!
