Postcards from Indonesia

We were truly amazed by Indonesian ethnic, cultural and linguistic diversity and felt blessed when interacting with people, whose fascinating customs and lifestyles were our major attraction.

The country has welcomed us with largely volcanic nature of the islands, cloud-swept mountains, blindingly bright beaches and vivid blue seas, the backdrop for Southeast Asia’s biggest wilderness areas and wildlife sanctuaries.

Moreover, it provided us with an endless resource for adventurous trekking, hiking and temple hopping adventures.

Here is a gallery of photos we have taken when traveling around, from Jakarta towards Bali. We hope we have captured the best of what Indonesia has to offer…

What’s your favorite postcard?

Hi there “E-Trampers”! I also fell in love with the islands of Indonesia. I couldn’t possibly pick just one photo of our month there as my favorite. We both really loved Flores; there’s just something so special about that island. The people were welcoming, the natural sites were beautiful, and I loved the little churches everywhere.

    Safe, Happy Travels! :-)

Hi Agness, yet another great collection of postcards, although I never get any in the post anymore! :-)

I’ve heard so many good things about Indonesia it does not surprise me that you enjoyed it so much.

I particularly like the postcards with baby monkeys on plus the picture of the 2 dragons beside the water.

Great pics, you captured Indonesia so beautifully – the people, the spirituality, the food. It’s a great country, and I can’t wait to head back and explore more of it one day!

Amazing pics :) Though, I’ve been to Indonwsia last summer I already feel like I wanna go back there once again. Tyhe country is huge and the friendluness of people, nature and cultural traditions make you want to explore the most of it.

Love the cliff picture! Also the one where the mama monkey is hugging the baby monkey. So sweet. I hope you got to surf in Bali. I want to go there this year. :)

Agness! These photos are all incredible, but I especially love the ones with the monkeys. Why do monkeys just make everything better?? Killer photo skills here – loving all the shots. Thanks for sharing!!

I actually have heard of evil/cheeky monkeys before. My boyfriend got slapped by a monkey when he was in Nepal!

Hi! Although Indonesia is a very touristy country, we were off the beaten path a lot, indeed (as always).

Lovely photos guys! It’s hard to choose because they are all awesome but particularly like the black and white one of Pura Ulun Danu Bratan. One day I’ll get to Indonesia! :)
