Postcards from Guilin – Guangxi Province, China

Guilin, China has taken our breath away with its stunning view of Longji Terraced Fields, Yangshuo River and Four Lakes scenery at night.  Here are some of our favourite postcards from idyllic Chinese wonderland.

If you had to pick up just one of these postcards, which one would that be?

He did look like he’s been living in the mountains forever, he was so humble and friendly.

They’re all great pics. I’m partial to either the terraced rice fields, or to the mountainous relief shots from the river. I’m not sure why, but some part of my brain lights up when I see scenery like that!

You guys really are seeing so much of China. Great stuff! Keep the awesome posts coming!

Thanks Mike a lot. The mountainous relief shots from the river are also my favourite :) I bought some postcards from Guilin and one of them features the same scenery :)

Awesome as always. My favourite postcard is the one with Pagodas, Four Lakes scenery at night. Really like it!

Beautiful. Some of them remind me of the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, and others of Khao Sok national park in Thailand. I think China is on a whole new level though :)

Thank you Arianwen. Never been to Malaysia, but visited the Khao Sok National Park in Thailand. So beautiful indeed. Agree, it is.

    Lovely shots guys!
As you know, we loved our time in Guilin and Yangshuo and are glad to hear you guys did as well :)

I love all of the photos, but I think the one of the old man in the field is my fave, he’s adorable!

    Cheers.

Hi Agness and Cez, those are beautiful postcards. Thanks for taking me along to Guilin. The lake and the rice terraces are spectacular. It looks so peaceful there, too. Also enjoyed your shots of the people, and the chicken:)

China is amazing so as your photos! Yangzhou River exudes peacefulness to whoever sailing on it. Great share. Thanks!

Hmm, it’s too hard to pick one. The Xing Ping pictures that show the mountains are cool. I also like the pagoda pictures. The old man is pretty funny too, he looks so happy!

When we went to Longjij the old man insisted to take a photo of him. funny to see you have a shot of him, too :)

Wandering the rice terrace fields was just great, though!
