Exploring Singapore At Night

Singapore is one of these places that quickens your pulse, keeps you busy and makes you speechless for a long time… Especially when you explore it at night with a camera in your hands.

Here’s a handy guide if you want to explore Singapore with kids.

The street lights and lanterns will guide you to one of the most stunning places in Singapore.

Singapore is a beautiful place to explore and – despite being totally knackered – we managed to drag ourselves down to the Marina to shoot some shots of this magnificent city lit up at night and reflected across the water. We did not regret that at all. What’s more, what we have seen, woke us up immediately.

The cityscape of Singapore is beautiful at night, so if you find yourself in this part of the world head for the Marina Bay Sands Hotel (you really can’t miss it, it’s an icon of Singapore!) and chill out by the waters edge with the jazz band playing in the background, the humid air keeping you warm and take some time out to appreciate it’s skyline.

If you have never been to Singapore, make sure you’ll add it to your travel bucket list. It’s absolutely worth it!

How do you like the scenery?

Can you think of any places you have recently travelled to that left you speechless by its night scenery?

Did you go to the Garden By the Bay? Sometime they have a night light show there. But you need to check it first whether they have the show or not :-)

Great post and photos Agness. I too was left speechless by Singapore. On our first visit we decided to splurge a little. We had been travelling very cheaply through Cambodia and had some cash left over so we treated ourselves to a stay at the Swissotel the Stamford that overlooks the bay and Marina Bay Sands. We had a balcony room on NYE with a perfect view of the fireworks. It was honestly one of the best nights of my travelling life.

Beautiful photos. That skyline is magnificent, though I must admit I’m a sucker for any skyline photographed at night!

Yes Charlie, it reminded us of Hong Kong scenery a lot. The horse photo was taken in Chinatown nearby Maxwell Hawker Center.

How ironic Agness, as staying at the Marina Bay Sands is one of my huge bucket list dreams. And swimming in that infinity pool. Your pictures and your’s and Cez’s smiles are all spectacular.

Is the nightlife still crazy in Singapore? I haven’t been since I was 19 but I remember the Singaporeans known how to party, and because I’m not a big party animal this surprised me! An evening stroll around the bay and looking at all the city lights appeals to me more :D I trust you had lots of delicious food whilst you were in Singapore!

To be honest, we don’t party much. We went there to sight-see. Based on what we have seen, people don’t really party hard in clubs. Nightlife in Singapore is more about dining our with friends and strolling down the streets while chatting, but I might be wrong…

I love Singapore’s hawker centres. So much food, so little time. I will definitely be back for an eating trip :D
Also next time, I would like to try that wave pool on Sentosa — I think they have surfing there.

Our favourite hawker center was Maxwell. I’m posting a new blog post about it tonight :D! Great food and so cheap!

You are absolutely right, Singapore has something special when it comes to scenery especially at night. We loved walking around and discovering the amazing architecture and the crazy designs the city is full of. Great photos guys!

It’s hard to say. I loved Hong Kong, but then I traveled to Singapore and the scenery took my breath away… Let me think… Most likely Hong Kong, but it’s a difficult decision to make!

Your night time pictures are stunning! It looks like you had a great night too! I ventured out one evening in Singapore but it was super rainy and muggy.

Singapore’s indeed stunning at nite, especially the Supertrees! And I’ll be surprised if you actually managed to survive at $25/day! The city ripped me off :D

Hi Ruth. Believe me or not, but we did manage to explore Singapore for much less than $25 a person, but we did not sleep :-P !!!
